We Raise Funds and Fun!
The mighty King Neptune provided "following seas" to our group of members and volunteers during the 43rd annual Neptune Festival September 30-October 2. We sold almost $30,000 in your favorite domestic brews and our proceeds will directly benefit local nonprofits through our annual grant distributions. Last year's earnings supported 12 local well-deserving nonprofits recommended by our members.
Nationally renowned musical entertainment, Rusted Root and Firefall, helped to boost our sales this year at the Neptune Festival where we sold beer at the 24th Street Stage. Our proceeds benefit local nonprofits doing good work in our community. Last year's earnings supported 12 local nonprofits including Forward Motion Therapeutic Riding Program, Greg Wright Foundation (Scholarship for Young VMI Graduate Killed in Iraq), Khedive Shrine Center Transportation for Children, Meals on Wheels, Operation Smile, Symphonicity, Tidewater Council Boy Scouts of America, Together We Can Foundation, Virginia Beach Library Literacy Outreach Portable System, Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation Foundation After-School Swim Program, Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation, and Young Audiences of Virginia.
