Hi Everyone,
I hope you will consider volunteering for our biggest fundraiser of the year! It is going to be a lot of work, and a lot of fun.
Below is the Sign Up link - More hands during the headliners (4:30pm-9pm) on Saturday will always be welcome!

Please allow enough time to find parking and arrive on time. For those arriving earlier in the day, parking at the 25th St garage should be available, but if you arrive later it may be full, so try to give yourself a buffer to find a spot. Free parking at the convention center is available, but it is about a mile walk.
I recommend wearing comfortable clothes, shoes that you are okay with getting muddy (it gets soggy around the barrels), and bringing an extra layer to handle a cool breeze along with water and snacks.
One procedural note: Keeping customers organized is important as we get busier. Let's make sure only the people manning the register take orders and money. Feel free to make eye contact with the next in line to get their beverages ready, but please do not take an order. If someone comes to the side to try to order, please direct them back into line.
So you have it, my number is 202-766-0327. Feel free to text me if you have any issues.
See you at the 24th Street Park!

What a great way to come together for a good cause! Join us for a food distribution event on the 21st!
We’re hoping to have at least 5 Rotarians per shift, so we’d love to see you there! Feel free to bring a family member—just note that participants must be at least 16 years old for this event. More details will follow, but here’s a quick overview of what to expect: Join us for one of Hampton Roads’ most cherished traditions, the 29th Annual FM99 and 106.9 The Fox Mayflower Marathon. This around the clock food drive and fundraiser, which has become a cornerstone of holiday giving in our community, kicks off on Friday, November 21, and runs non-stop through Sunday, November 23. Donors can drive through to drop off contributions at one of the two sites. Volunteers will collect, inspect, sort, and categorize donations, as well as assist with traffic control, monitor donation storage and weights, and bring energy to the event by engaging with and thanking donors as they drive by. After a brief on-site orientation and training, you’ll be assigned a role to ensure every area is well-supported for a successful event. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate. Please dress appropriately for this outdoor event, including wearing closed-toe shoes. |
