Spend a beautiful morning along the Elizabeth River helping the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation plant a native meadow to combat invasive vines.

If you have never experienced the ERT [Elizabeth River Trail] you'll love volunteering for this scenic event! We will do lunch together after the project if anyone is interested.

You are invited to attend the annual E. E. Brickell Scholarship Banquet, hosted by the Rotary Club of Virginia Beach and the Virginia Beach Public Schools Gifted Program. The event will feature a dinner program that will award and honor the 2025 Brickell Scholarship recipient, as well as welcome the incoming Brickell Scholars for 2026. Cost per attendee is $43. Join us for an evening on the VB Wave Trolley! This will be a different type of meeting. An active learning meeting! 

We will share information about HRT and the area's local transit agency and all things transit. 

Come join the fun! 

We will meet at the trolley stop located at Rudee's Loop. It is recommended that you rideshare with a partner to the meeting location. Trolley passes will be provided free of charge to everyone attending. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we may depart on time. 

We will aslo stop for dinner at Rangsa's on Atlantic. Please join us! If you are unable to join us for dinner you can continue on the trolley which will loop back around to our meet up location at Rudee Loop.

This year’s honoree is Pam Matthias, who has dedicated 38 years of service to the City of Virginia Beach. Pam has held a variety of positions throughout her career, most recently in the City Manager’s Office, and has contributed to many pivotal City projects that have shaped our community.
